About Our Dutch

At K, L & M Rabbitry, we strive to raise top quality Dutch rabbits.  We have dabbled in every variety throughout the years, but have decided to focus on black and chocolate.  We have also decided to hang onto one of our gray bucks because he has become a part of the family, so there may also be some gray/steel litters in the future.

Our chocolates are mostly from Wilbur Williamson's lines.  I have been breeding this beautiful variety since I started, so I have my own nice line started.  The chocolates are my pride--I have come far with them.  I acquired my blacks from Case of Dutch Rabbtiry and am hoping to do as well with them as I have been doing with the chocolates.

K, L & M Rabbits are fed Purina Show Rabbit Chow.  Bred and nursing does are swithched to Doe & Litter feed.  We also often feed banana slices (with the peel) and rolled oats.

Meet a few of our rabbits!

Layla Case -- Layla comes from Case of Dutch Rabbitry.  She is an older doe who showed quite well in her younger days and is now producing nice kits for me.  I love the markings on this girl!  She has her flaws, but overall she's a well-balanced, well-marked girl.  She currently has a litter of two blacks.

NBCD's April -- April is by far my favorite doe.  She comes from Wilbur Williamson's lines.  She was my first chocolate Dutch doe, and won BIS (and a leg) at the first show I took her to.  She is a little old to do so well on the show table now, but she is producing some amazing chocolate babies for me!

WC's Epic -- Epic is an awesome little junior buck from Willow Creek Rabbitry.  At only 2 months old, he has one BOS under his belt.  He's got great type and excellent markings to go with it.  I can't wait to see how he does as he gets older!

Pritchard's Chester -- Chester is the only gray we plan on keeping around for some time.  He has many BOBs and BOSBs under his belt from 4H shows, as well as BOSVs and BOVs from ARBA and 4H shows.  He has produced some very nice gray babies in the past, as well as a couple steels.  However, since we have decided to focus on black and chocolate due to a lack of time and cage space Chester will only be bred to the occasional black doe.  This cutie got lucky--when the rest of the grays were sold, he got to stay because we're just too attached.
